There are several differences between Microsoft 365 (Student Use Benefit) and Microsoft 365 Personal.
If you’re a student at one of the following educational institutions, you can order Microsoft 365 (Student Use Benefit) for €4,99:

Microsoft 365 Personal is available for (almost) every student and employee.
You should activate Microsoft 365 (Student Use Beneft) with a username and password provided by SURFspot with your order, it is not possible to connect this license to a personal Microsoft account. However, you can connect Microsoft 365 Personal to a personal Microsoft account.
Finally, you can also use Microsoft 365 Personal online, and this license includes 1 TB of OneDrive storage. Microsoft 365 (Student Use Benefit) can not be used online, and it does not include OneDrive storage.
