Your licence for Chaos V-Ray Education Collection is linked to the email address used for your SURFspot order. Within one to two working days, you will receive two emails from Chaos. Use these emails to activate your Chaos account and access the software.
Activate your Chaos account
- First open the email from Chaos stating that your account has been created.
- Select Setup your password. If you already have a Chaos account with the same email address, sign in to that account.
- Create a password and select Set password.
- Sign in to your Chaos account using the email address from your order.
Check the licence and product
- Open the product overview in your Chaos account.
- Check that the Education Collection containing V-Ray is listed as an active product.
- If the product is missing, check the email address used to sign in and confirm that you received both Chaos emails.
Download V-Ray
- Open the Education Collection in your Chaos account and select Download.
- Select V-Ray from the list of included products.
- Choose the version for your operating system and, if requested, your design or host application.
- Download the installer.
Install V-Ray
- Open the downloaded V-Ray installer.
- If requested, select the host application and version for which you want to install V-Ray.
- Read and accept the licence terms.
- Select Install and wait for the installation to finish.
- Restart the host application if it was open during installation.
Activate the software
- Start V-Ray, or open the application in which V-Ray was installed as a plug-in.
- If prompted, sign in with the same Chaos account linked to the licence.
- Check your Chaos account or licence environment to confirm that the licence is available.
No emails or product listed
Check your spam folder and search for Chaos. If the emails have not arrived after two working days or the Education Collection is missing, contact us and include your order number and the email address used.
