We cannot fully delete accounts due to the legal retention period for invoices. However, you can anonymize your account.
- When anonymized, your personal data will be removed from your SURFspot account.
- Your details will remain visible on invoices, which we are required to keep for 7 years. After that, invoices are automatically deleted.
- Email conversations are deleted after 5 years.
How can I anonymize my data myself?
Go to My SURFspot > Privacy Settings > Anonymize personal data. You can anonymize your data there directly.
Unable to log in?
If you no longer have access to your SURFspot account because you are no longer affiliated with your educational institution, you can still submit a request. In that case, please email privacy@surfspot.nl.
Please note! After anonymization, you will no longer be able to retrieve order details. If you log in again later, your data will be linked to the information you provide at that time, as your login credentials are managed by your educational institution.
