SURFspot is intended for private purchases by students and staff. Under the current invoice policy, SURFspot does not include a VAT or Chamber of Commerce number on the invoice and does not provide a business invoice that can be used to reclaim VAT.
Can the VAT number be added?
No. SURFspot does not add a VAT or Chamber of Commerce number to an invoice and does not provide a replacement business invoice. The publicly available company details of SURF do not change this.
Can I reclaim VAT?
The SURFspot invoice is intended as proof of a private purchase, not as a business VAT invoice. Do not use the purchase as a business expense or to reclaim VAT.
Why does this policy apply?
SURFspot is exclusively intended for personal use and not for commercial use. This is also stated in Article 1, Section 6 of our terms and conditions.
