This article applies to students and staff of Radboud University Nijmegen who received EndNote 2025 through SURFspot. This installation does not require a separate licence key. If EndNote still requests one, the Windows installation package was usually not fully extracted before Setup was started.
Reinstall EndNote from an extracted folder
- Close EndNote and the installer.
- Remove the incomplete EndNote 2025 installation through Windows settings.
- Locate the downloaded EndNote 2025 ZIP file.
- Right-click the file and select Extract all.
- Open the new, fully extracted folder.
- Run Setup from this folder and complete installation again.
- Open EndNote and check that the licence prompt has disappeared.
You no longer have the ZIP file
Download the installation package again through your SURFspot order or use the link in the delivery email. If the link has expired, contact SURFspot and include your order number.
