How do I install and activate MAXQDA?

Download MAXQDA using the information in your SURFspot order and select the installer for Windows or macOS. Activate the installed version with the licence details from the same order.

Before you start

• Check which MAXQDA version you purchased on the product page.

• Check that your computer meets the system requirements.

• Use the download and licence details from the same order.

Install MAXQDA

1. Sign in to SURFspot and open the MAXQDA order.

2. Open the download link and select Windows or macOS.

3. Download and open the installer.

4. Choose the version for your operating system:

• Manual MAXQDA - Windows

• Manual MAXQDA - Mac

Activate MAXQDA

1. In MAXQDA, select the option to activate the software.

2. Enter the licence details from your SURFspot order.

3. Check that the correct version and licence term are displayed.

Activation does not work

Check that the licence matches the installed MAXQDA version and that you entered the details without additional spaces.
