When you are no longer a student or employee at your institution, the institution may deactivate your account. You can then no longer sign in to SURFspot through that institution or place new orders. This does not automatically end an existing licence; validity continues to depend on the product terms.
Do this before access ends
- save order confirmations and order numbers;
- download invoices and installation files you may need later;
- store licence codes and activation instructions securely;
- check the end date and terms of current licences;
You can no longer sign in
Contact SURFspot if you need information about a still-valid order. Include your name, order email address, order number and product. SURFspot may request additional verification.
You are retiring
The same applies after retirement: once your former employer deactivates the institutional account, you can no longer sign in or order. Existing licences remain valid only under their own terms.

SURFspot can only provide information that remains available and may be shared after sufficient verification. Resending details does not extend or reactivate a licence.
