Start the License Authorization Wizard manually and with administrator rights. Follow the steps for Windows or macOS below.
Solution for Windows
- Search the Start menu for License Authorization Wizard.
- Right-click it and select Run as administrator.
- If you cannot find it, open C:\Program Files\IBM\SPSS\Statistics\[version] and run LicenseAuthorizationWizard.exe as administrator.
- Close SPSS and try again. Check whether security software or a firewall is blocking the wizard.
Solution for macOS
- Open Applications and go to the IBM SPSS Statistics folder.
- Open License Authorization Wizard, or find it using Spotlight.
- If macOS blocks the app, open Privacy & Security and allow the wizard to open.
- Close SPSS and make sure you open the wizard for the installed version.
The wizard still does not start
Restart your device. If it still does not work, contact our customer service and include your SPSS version, operating system and exact error message.
